St. Lô is the tenth mission of the Invasion of Normandy campaign of Company of Heroes.
Background[]
Having secured Hill 192, Able Company's mission is now to root out all Axis defenders from St. Lô itself. German forces have made St. Lô a fortress city and will defend it to the last man.

Alternative strategies[]
An alternative way to complete this mission is to destroy the German HQ itself, the largest building in the very center of the map, inside the enclosed compound (HQ area). The area is accessible through an opening near the top of the map and is very heavily defended. There are two alternative entries, one blocked by Tank Traps and mined, and the other barricaded with Tank Traps and Barbed Wire. Once the HQ is destroyed, the mission instantly ends victorious, bypassing the requirement to capture all target points.
Using any long range artillery, such as captured Nebelwerfers or 105mm howitzers, a player may continuously blind-bombard the German HQ from a safe distance (even near the starting area), till it collapses. This approach can surely minimize casualties and save considerable time.
