Resources are the currency that players spend to produce units, upgrade, and use abilities to gain advantage on the battlefield. Each players have passive resource income that is displayed by a X amount of resources gain per minute. Players can boost this income rate by capturing and holding more resource point on the map. Company of Heroes 2 uses the same type of resources as its predecessor, Company of Heroes, which are Manpower, Munition, Fuel. Player can only gain the resources from a point if the territory containing that point connects back to the base sector. Disconnected territory will not yield resources and thus players should try their best to protect their key area, while attempting to disrupt the enemy's for advantage.
