Nathaniel "Nate" Burrows, Jr. is a former sniper in the United States Army.
Biography[]
Burrows was born in the United States. His late father was a veteran of World War I, having served in France under Gen. Pershing alongside Joe Conti. Burrows, Sr. died in 1918 and was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart, which Burrows, Jr. treasured as a personal memento of the father he never got to know.
After becoming a soldier in the 2nd Infantry Division of the US Army, Burrows was able to counter-snipe a German sniper on December 16th, 1944. This feat of sharpshooting prompter Burrows' squad leader Sgt. Matheson to designate him as the squad's new marksman, having lost his previous sniper during a patrol.
