The GrW 34 8cm Mortar Team provides effective fire support on the battlefield. A high angle can hit targets behind objects, and a good rate of fire can saturate the area.

MP 40 SMG[]

This rapid fire gun has overall more short-range firepower than the Mosin Nagant Rifles carried by Soviet Combat engineers but have very poor long-medium range accuracy.

Abilities[]

Hold Fire[]

  • Activation: toggle ability

Holds fire until explicitly ordered to attack.

Mortar Barrage[]

  • Activation: Select Area
  • Cooldown: 15 seconds

The squad will fire four 8cm mortar rounds into the targeted area.

Smoke Barrage[]

  • Activation: Select Area
  • Cooldown: 15 seconds

Fires three 8cm smoke mortar bombs into the target area. Useful for blinding enemy weapon teams or creating a smoke cover. This barrage will not reveal the position of the mortar team to the enemy.

Counter Barrage[]

  • Requires Veteran 1
  • Activation: toggle ability

The team will automatically barrage enemy artillery weapon that fire within range. Disables the use of other barrages when toggled on.

Sprint []

The Sprint ability gives all infantry (including Snipers and the MG 42 Heavy Machine Gun team) the possibility to move very quickly for a short period of time. Infantry squads can use this to dodge artillery or set up a flanking move. Likewise, weapon teams or snipers can use this to get out of harms way.

Infantry is not able to fire their guns while sprinting, stopping enables them to fire again even while the ability is still active.
