Axis

The Axis or the Axis Powers is a playable faction in Company of Heroes and fought during World War II.

Game Info

In Company of Heroes the Axis are featured as Nazi Germany as a much expensive and smaller factor than the Allies or the United States, but are basically much stronger than them. The first major force in the Axis army are the Wehrmacht. Wehrmacht forces are basically made up of infantry such as the Grenadier Squads and certain elite soldier squads. The Axis Pioneer Squad are able to build many buildings and defense structures for the Germans. The Axis armored vehicles and tanks or panzers are slow and less mobile, but in direct combat they are superior to the enemy with heavy armor and power. The Axis with specialized commander focus, Axis forces can deploy superior units, like the Tiger I tank or the King Tiger Tiger II tank. The Wehrmacht have three doctrine similar to the United States "company" which earn command point through combat experience. Their doctrine are the Defensive Doctrine, Bliztkrieg Doctrine and Terror Doctrine.

Another new faction of the Axis force is the Panzer Elite, unlike the Wehrmacht. The Panzer Elite are natural bliztkrieg force, they emphasis on speed, mobility and massive firepower to overwhelm their enemy. Panzer Elite utilize vehicles such as open top halftracks to carry infantry to fight along their fast moving panzer unit. They hit hard and hit fast. Their panzer unit is similar to the Wehrmacht but they are more mobile, have better speed and are able to lock themselves down to fully utilize their main gun. The Panzer Elite have three tactics similar to the Wehrmacht doctrine, their tactics are the Scorched Earth Tactics, Luftwaffe Tactics and the Tank Destroyer Tactics.
